AbstractThis mixed-methods study examined the impact of Southeastern Day Program (SDP) on parent, student, and staff perceptions of quality of life, well-being, and vocational achievement. The results of this study were beneficial to determine the impact that SDP had on adults within the community and how to best meet the needs of their learners. The researcher of this study used one questionnaire with Likert scale and open-ended questions, as well as semi-structured interviews to gather data regarding perceptions of SDP. Findings suggested perception of SDP aligned with several of Seligman's (2011) factors for well-being, and several of Deci and Ryan's (2008) qualifying factors to promote self-determination. Utilizing The Evaluation of Quality of Life Instrument and supplemental open-ended questions, the researcher determined positive student, parent, and staff perceptions on the impact of SDP of students' quality of life, well-being, and progress toward vocational achievement. At the conclusion of the study, recommendations were provided to the post-secondary program to guide future programming.
