Abstract | This multiple case study research was conducted to study lone-arranger archivists at small colleges and universities who have utilized their archival collections to provide instruction to undergraduates. The study's primary research question focused on answering how university archives and archivists utilize the primary source materials in their collections to enhance undergraduate student learning and help develop students' research skills. Four lone-arranger archivists employed at small colleges or universities in the United States were the focus of this research. From the case studies, it is evident that lone-arranger archivists are creatively utilizing their archival collections to instruct undergraduates and that both the undergraduates and the archivists are benefiting.
