Abstract | The study investigated and analyzed the state of academic web-based job announcements in Library and Information Science Field. The purpose of study was to get in depth understanding about main characteristics and trends of academic job market in Library and Information science field. The study focused on web-based version announcement as it was fast, moderate and reliable. The study focused on one of the worldwide and most used web site in the Library and Information Science field; ALISE (Association for Library and Information Science Education). The study adopted the quantitative methodology collecting thirty nine academic announcements including sixty positions on ALISE and were posted in a six months period.
