| Abstract | These magazine-sized booklets, one in English, one in Spanish, are in cartoon format and are designed to be used by people with limited literacy in English or Spanish. Reading this book teaches new mothers that having a baby with the mother (in the same room) helps breastfeeding get off to a good start, checking urine output and bowel movements is one way to help the mother know that her baby is getting enough milk, when the bay nurses he/she feels close to the mother, breast milk digests quickly, the correct position of the baby at he breast prevents sore nipples, and the supply of breast milk can be increased by nursing more frequently.
