| Abstract | The Nova University Programs for Higher Education Summer Institute was evaluated using data collected from two instruments: the Overall Evaluation, a modification of the 1985 Summer Institute Evaluation Form, and the Evaluation of Concurrent Sessions, an instrument utilized for the first time in 1986 to evaluate each concurrent session. These evaluation instruments were also rated as to their effectiveness. Data was compared between the 1985 and 1986 Summer Institutes. The analysis revealed that there was an increase in registered student attendance at the 1986 Summer Institute. In addition, overall registered student specialization seminar attendance increased. The evaluation instruments themselves were rated at "satisfactory" or slightly better. The overall evaluation of the sessions were 3.97 on a 5 point scale (5 = Very Satisfactory). It was felt that the 1986 Summer Institute was a success, that future evaluations are desirable, and that the evaluation forms should be made computer readable. Contains 7 references. (GLR) |
