AbstractPart 13 of a series of 13 instructor's manuals for the competency based training of curriculum consultants for exceptional children focuses on the advisory role of the consultant. Four comptencies are considered: (1) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of functioning in an advisory role; (2) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of establishing him/herself as an obvious resource to personnel encountering problems related to curriculum for exceptional children; (3) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of analyzing curriculum related problems and determing the possible consequences of the problems, personnel affected, and personnel having responsibilities for receiving the problem; and (4) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of developing a plan of action for resolving curriculum problems. Among materials included in the manual are lists of behavioral objectives for the module, enabling activities, and evaluation criteria for each of the competency components. Space is provided for the instructor to list resources and comments for the activities provided for each component. A conference record sheet is included for each of the four competencies. (PHR)
