| Abstract | The sixth yearbook of the Association for the Education of Teachers in Science (AETS) is focused on some of the issues and problems that face science teachers. The publication is divided into three parts with part I containing discussions of topics of concern to society which are either science-based or a function of science teaching. Part II deals with societal institutions or social movements which influence science education. Part III contains papers concerned with the nature of the science education/society interaction. Such themes as values, interdisciplinary concerns, and relevancy run through all three parts of the yearbook. (PEB) |
