Curs acadèmic: 2018-2019 ; Education is not only a fundamental human right but also an important tool to empower youth and create peaceful societies. In Lebanon the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, together with UN agencies and NGOs is regularly implementing initiatives to foster formal and non-formal education for Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian children living in the country. In this context, the "Lebanese Alternative Learning (LAL)", an NGO based in Beirut, works to give every child access to quality education by creating digital content and carrying out workshops. On this basis, the current academic research focuses on the development and implementation of LAL's "Conflict Resolution for Peace Unit", a project which aims to enhance youth empowerment and peacebuilding for Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian children.
