| Abstract | The education for sustainable development envisages a transition to a people- and economy-oriented model of education, which should rest on interdisciplinary knowledge that is based on a comprehensive approach to the development of the society, economy, and environment. Russia possesses a great potential for successful implementation of the concept of education for sustainable development. Despite all the achievements in the area of new computer technologies, the teacher still remains a central figure in the current educational process. (Orig.). |
