Abstract	Der Autor lenkt in seinem Beitrag den Blick auf die in der Sachunterrichtsdidaktik fruchtbare Diskussion um die Bedeutung der sokratischen Mäeutik als Modell moderat-konstruktiver Instruktion. (DIPF/Orig.). For many concepts of sciences and social learning, the Socratic principle is of considerable significance. It enables a kind of dialogic learning, in the context of which constructive and instructive aspects are productively related to each other. By ways of classical examples of Socratic maieutics, fundamental aspects of this basic form of educational behavior will be worked out (teaching nescience, creating attention, creating astonishment), and both the special nature and the significance of such instructive aspects for the learning process will be analyzed.
