Abstract	"GHK Consulting was commissioned to produce material for the Restructuring Forum to be held on 22 and 23 June on the impact of climate change on EU employment in the medium term (to 2020). In particular the material comprises: - Fifteen company cases studies across a range of sectors examining how businesses are being influenced by, and responding to climate change and related polices, with a summary report pulling out the main lessons (Volume 1); and - A literature review in the field of climate change and its impact on employment (Volume 2). Volume 2 (...) summarise the main conclusions from the existing literature on the nature of climate change and related polices, their impact on the EU economy and on economic sectors, examining in particular the effects on employment and skills (differentiating short-term to long term impacts). This sets the context for the debate concerning the drivers for restructuring, the types of sector affected, the need for businesses to anticipate the need for adjustment and the types of adjustments likely to be required. It also provides the basis for the selection of sectors from which the case studies were drawn." (Text excerpt, IAB-Doku).
