| Abstract | The paper offers a short view of the formal frame in which the education for democratic citizenship is realized in Romania. The process of democratizing of the romanian society and the process of european integration ask imperatively for an education focused on universal values - justice, freedom, equity - and also on the values which result from the democratic organization of the society, in which the human rights are considered to be values, which can be transformed in effective behavior only by education. The paper presents the way in which these values are promoted in the romanian school system (primary school). |
