How can educational contents be developed to be considered a benefit by students and to gain their interest? The authors of this text have tackled this question within the framework of establishing the course of Social Work which was founded by the Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst [University of Applied Sciences and Arts) (Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences] Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen) at the place of study in Holzminden in 2003. In this regard, it was especially interesting to develop the curriculum for the educational area of Social Work as a science and profession as it was there where the principles of Social Work were rooted. The following text presents results which followed from these considerations and dares to provide a prospect for a further development of the curriculum regarding the science and profession in the courses of Social Work. |
