Abstract | A consequence of the immigration phenomenon is the coexistence of students from very different cultures in the Spanish schools. Their compulsory education brings about a perfect occasion to join interculturalism and citizens education so as to reach, by means of teaching performance, peaceful and democratic coexistence. This will bring higher levels of integration between cultural minorities and the majority's culture, as well as promote the learning of values by all students. ... This article shows the main objectives and measures of the Andalusian plan for educational attention to immigrant students, which is being developed in this region together with the nonviolence and peace culture plan.
