Abstract | Overview of how science education is structured in the Federal Republic of Germany and which developments are taking place in the schools. The authors begin with an overview of the German school system with regard to science education including questions of the institutional framework, the structure of the school system and the locus of science education in the curriculum. Then they touch on the conceptions of science education as reflected in the German state laws, educational acts and syllabus preambles before going into more detail about the science curricula in the primary to upper secondary levels.(Autorenreferat). |
