Abstract	The structure and the diplomas awarded in Finnish vocational education were reformed in 1995. To find out how the curriculum reform has been implemented in practice the National Board of Education commissioned a study by the Institute for Educational Research. It examined different study fields in Finnish upper secondary vocational education and the most common diplomas awarded after completion of such studies. The data were collected with the aim of charting the views held, on different levels of Finnish vocational education institutions, by principals, teachers and students. The questionnaire was returned by 2,233 students, 644 teachers and 118 principals. The follow-up evaluation of the new curricula was carried out as a survey in 1996. This evaluation was based on only one year's experiences from the curriculum reform. (DIPF/orig.).
