Abstract	This paper focuses on the linkage between the elite and education, analyzing the biographical data on the schooling of different groups of elite, as provided in various handbooks and a new Who's Who. The respective groups analyzed here are: first, writers and poets, who in Czech society traditionally to an exceptionally high degree are core representatives of the cultural elite; second, communist and noncommunist politicians; third, the small new group of entrepreneurs; and last, managers from the era of socialist economy as well as from the postsocialist era. ...
