Abstract	By September 1995, 78 group reports on the 88 study visits carried out had been submitted to the Central Agency (PAD).... the report assessment is concentrated on study visits organised by the new participants - Austria, Sweden, Finland and Norway ... . These new participants have used the programme in the same way as Greece, Spain and Portugal did shortly after their accession.... Approximately 1,000 decision-makers in regional and local school administration are involved in the ARION programme every year. In the 17 years during which the Standing Conference's PAD has been fulfilling its central functions on behalf of the EU Commission, it has dealt with 7,567 education experts involved in 750 study visits. This has laid a broad foundation for orienting schools and curricula towards Europe. It is this very group of people which is needed to make a success of the SOCRATES and LEONARDO school programmes and action schemes, namely COMENIUS and LINGUA. (DIPF/Text taken from the original).
