| Abstract | This publication is a short account of the various subjects taught to 12-16 year old students in the lower secondary education. It is divided into two cycles: the first from age 12 to 14, and the second from age 14 to 16.... There are presented the subjects by areas: human and social science, physics and natural science, technology, languages and communication codes, mathematics, artistic education, musical education, physical education and sports ... without losing sight of the general concept of teaching.... Special emphasis is given to the attitudes, values and rules the student must possess with regard to the society which surrounds him and in which he has to participate actively in the process of change and cultural creativity.
