Abstract	Evaluations have become a continuous part of university teaching and learning. They regularly and systematically provide information that is used for the identification of best practices and optimization potentials as well as a basis for decisions and improvement projects plus as support for scholarship of teaching and learning projects. This chapter will give a brief field report of challenges and tested characteristics of evaluations dedicated to ensure and develop the quality of teaching and learning at the University of Lübeck and especially on their interrelations with higher education.
