In this article we present a concise analysis of transition phase related problems when coming from secondary education to higher university education in mathematics. A special approach to these problems for the Situation of future teachers for primary and secondary education schools at the LMU München is described and established. In the first part characteristics of high school mathematics and university mathematics are presented and compared to focus on essential differences. The second part is focussed on the implementation of a newly drafted lecture in the area of teaching future teachers in the field of mathematics; basic ideas and a profound analysis of the intentions behind are described. At last we present an empiric study about the effectiveness of our newly drafted curriculum and its effect on the cleft between high school and university education. (HDZD/text adopted). |
