| Abstract | This article outlines and discusses the programs established in schools and communities to promote and support activity for children and youth in Canada. Each section considers the various influences and how Canadian authorities have attempted to answer the needs of children and youth. For example, the initial sections provide an overview of the Canadian school, consider school programming, provide an overview of the community perspective, and discuss the success levels of initiatives. Whereas, the final sections of the paper address the challenges that still need to be overcome and provide suggestions as to what the next steps might be for Canada. Aus dem Text. |
