Abstract | The dual identity faced by the Chicano in relation to postsecondary educational institutions serves two functions: (1) to develop his ability to act as a link between the institution and the Chicano community through enhancement of his institutional visibility; and (2) to develop teaching effectiveness and good interpersonal relations with students.
