| Abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the roles of eight Latino single fathers as primary caregivers and their engagement with the literacy development of their children. The sample for this study consisted of eight single Latino fathers with children of elementary to middle school age. The primary method of data collection was semi-structured, open-ended interviews conducted face-to-face and by phone. A constant comparative method was conducted to analyze the data. The findings included a profile of the participants' demographics along with the themes of work and learning, relational support, and home literacy practices. (As Provided). |
