(Orig.). Cooperation between families and educational institutions is today considered an important standard of professional educational practices. For instance, all educational plans of the German federal states include a separate chapter on cooperation. It is argued that this professional practice is in the children's best interest. This article aims to explore how children are conceptualized in these chapters on cooperation between educational institutions and families in the 16 educational plans. The main results of a content analysis suggest that children are mostly perceived as objects of the actions of adults. Thus, the agency of children and their perspectives on cooperation remain invisible. We conclude by applying our results to the debate on professionalization. (Orig.). |
