To create international relations between the people who are active in and dealing with social work, to set international valid standards for social work and the training of social workers: such can be considered as important perspectives in the work of Alice Salomon. For Alice Salomon, however, training was a keystone of efficient social work. This contribution is meant to explore the worldwide relations and disagreements in the triangle of Alice Salomon Japan and the United States. Alice Salomon's ideas and conceptions as well as her commitment are time and again highly topical. The increasing interest in the Japan of today gives proof of it, too. |
