(DIPF/Orig.). In order to overcome the traditional value judgment debate and the resulting distancing from normative pedagogy, it is argued in this contribution that (at least) three types of normativity exist in "empirical educational research"; they can be analytically differentiated as follows: firstly, a type of normativity which preforms the normative premises and thus the fundamental theoretical assumptions (normativity of premises); secondly, a type of normativity which partly comes in by way of reflection, but partly also sneaks in subcutaneously, in the mode of the empirical operationalization (normativity of operationalization). Thirdly, there arises, on the part of the researchers, the "normativity of presentation", and on the part of the readers, the "normativity of reception"; together, they concern the extent to which normativity is conveyed performatively by speech acts and other forms of action (normativity of performativity). Concluding the paper, the basic principles of critical-constructive educational research are outlined, which is conceived as an alternative to current approaches. (DIPF/Orig.). |
