Abstract | The focus is on pre-service teachers´ cognitive learning activities to gain general pedagogical knowledge. The findings reveal that pre-service teachers show elaboration and organization activities, however on a low level as well as they differ in their capacities and changes over time depending on their prior knowledge level. The findings provide evidence that the methodologies can be used to study cognitive learning processes in teacher education. (Orig.). |
