About the German Education Index

The professional information system German Education Index is a bibliographical database that provides comprehensive references to all areas of education, currently 731.275 entries are listed. Most references to journals contain a link to the database of periodicals (ZDB) where information on the availability in libraries is recorded. The database is updated four times a year (last update: Jul 26, 2010). The German Education Index and the Metasearch are the key entries to the German Education Portal.
This information service is provided by the Educational Information system (FIS Bildung), a network of more than 30 cooperation partners from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The coordinating office is located at the German Institute for International Educational Research, DIPF, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
